DaChan Bay welcomes new South America Zim service

SHENZHEN's DaChan Bay Terminals welcomed a new South America service ASE operated by Zim Integrated Shipping Services with a fully loaded vessel departing for Santos on September 24.

Zim is the first carrier to introduce extra capacity to Argentina to cater for the increasing demand, said the terminal operator¡¯s press release.

This new monthly service provides direct connection between South China and South America, offering fast transit time to Santos, Itapoa and Buenos Aires for Shenzhen and Pearl River Delta exporters.

The rotation for the ASE service is DaChan Bay, Santos, Itapoa, Buenos Aires and back to DaChan Bay, with a transit time to Santos of 32 days, to Itapoa 34 days, and to Buenos Aires, 35 days.

Said DaChan Bay Terminals managing director Brian Yeung: "Zim has been our long-term customer and we are glad to work with them on the ASE service to introduce additional capacity to meet shippers' needs."
