JAPAN's All Nippon Airways (ANA) has commenced operations at its international cargo depot at Naha Airport in Okinawa Prefecture in a new facility that focuses on the delivery of semiconductors and fresh foods between three airports in Japan and five cities in Asia.

 

This 24-hour international depot serves as a hub for an air cargo network connecting Tokyo International Airport at Haneda, Narita International Airport and Kansai International Airport in Japan and airports in Seoul, Shanghai, Taipei, Hong Kong and Bangkok, a report by AsiaPulse via Comtex said.

 

It said the cargo flights deploy Boeing 767-300F midsize freighters, which have a maximum load capacity of 50 tons. The flights operate mainly between midnight and the early hours of the morning from Monday to Saturday. They arrive at Naha Airport early the following day and depart the airport by 0730 hrs.

 

To begin with, flights to and from Bangkok have a stopover at Taipei, with direct flights scheduled to begin in February.
