OSL – Air traffic in October
Date:2009-11-12 Readers:
In October 1,680,266 passengers travelled through Oslo Airport. This constitutes 45,231 or 2.6% fewer than during the same month last year. On domestic flights there were 411 or 0% more passengers, and on international flights there were 45,642 or 5.1% fewer passengers.
The number of aircraft movements in October was 19,334. This is 1697 or 8.1% fewer than during October last year. The average proportion of the seats in use, the cabin factor, was up 2% from 67% in October last year to 69% this year.
“It is encouraging to see that the decline in October is significantly lower than what we have seen in previous months in 2009,” says Knut Stabæk, Marketing Manager for Traffic Development. During week number 43 OSL had the same number of passengers as during the same week last year, and in week number 44 the number of passengers were up by a total of more than 2%.
