Acquisition expands Ryder’s role in food, beverage, consumer goods
Ryder System will buy Total Logistics Control from SuperValu, increasing the company’s reach in the beverage, food and consumer packaged goods market.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed but Holland, Mich.-based Total Logistics Control will add about $250 million to $1.3 billion Ryder’s revenue next year, the Miami-based company said Wednesday.

Swienton said.
TLC’s management team and 2,500 employees are expected to continue in similar roles with Ryder, including President and CEO Peter Westermann.
The logistics and warehouse operator has 34 facilities, with 10.6 million square feet of dry and temperature-controlled warehousing, in 13 states.
