Logistics
Hopefully reduced tax on the logistics industry
Date:2009-10-28 Readers:
During the "2009 Sino-US Logistics Conference" held in Shanghai, Wang Huimin, Deputy Director General, Bureau of Economic Operations Adjustment, NDRC, disclosed NDRC is working with the National Tax Administration, all of the logistics enterprises who meet the requirements will possibly be included into the pilot project on revenue difference tax collection. At the same time, together with the National Tax Administration, and Ministry of Finance, NDRC is planning to levy reduced, half or even free business tax on large-scale logistics enterprises.
Since the Logistics Industry Restructuring and Revitalization Planning issued this year, there have been speculations for lowered business tax on logistics enterprises, this is the first time, however, for a government official to make known statement of its position.
