On June 3, 2010, the meeting of “Further Promote the Development of Shanghai Shipping SMEs through the Publicity and Implementation of the Opinions of the State Council” was held in Shanghai International Shipping Institute (SISI). The meeting was organized by the Construction and Promotion Office of Shanghai International Shipping Center and featured the attendance of representatives from 11 trade associations and some enterprises in Shanghai. All participants actively presented views and suggestions, and recognized the great significance of Several Opinions of the State Council on Further Promoting the Development of SMEs and the Opinions of Shanghai Municipal People’s Government on Implementing the “Several Opinions of the State Council on Further Promoting the Development of SMEs” to the development of small- and medium-sized shipping enterprises. Meanwhile, they indicated the effects of fully implementing the existing policies on the development of shipping SMEs.
On behalf of the Construction and Promotion Office of Shanghai International Shipping Center, Deputy Division Chief Li Chenxi of Shanghai Urban Construction and Communications Commission listened to the opinions from the participants. He promised that the governmental departments will advance information publicity and create a fair, just and open competitive environment for SMEs.
