Since the initial release on December 29, 2009, the China Shipping Prosperity Index (CSPI) has received great attentions from leaders of the Department of Water Transport under the Ministry of Transport. On May 21, 2010, led by Professor and Secretary-General Zhen Hong of Shanghai International Shipping Institute (SISI), a SISI team reported the research progress and operation performance of CSPI to Deputy Director-General Li Liangsheng and other leaders from the Department of Water Transport. Mr. Li Liangsheng gave full recognition to SISI for its research on China Shipping Prosperity Index. He believed that such research is of vital significance to the construction of Shanghai International Shipping Center, and expected SISI to do a better work.
