May.7--GERMANY's Hapag-Lloyd has announced it will increase the rates on all shipments from Indian subcontinent (India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka) to south east and north east Asia by US$100 per TEU from May 15.
    Also, the carrier will implement a $500 per TEU general rate increase for services from Japan to Indian subcontinent from June 1.
