On November 23, 2011, Secretary-General Yao Mingbao of the Standing Committee of Shanghai Municipal People’s Congress, accompanied by Vice Chairman Lu Qingdong of Hongkou District Committee of the CPPCC, conducted in-depth survey and research in Shanghai International Shipping Institute (SISI).

After the introduction by Professor and Secretary-General Zhen Hong of SISI, Mr. Yao stated that, based on a brand-new system, SISI shall fully play its role in governments and the industry. By combining practical work with continuous thinking and thus forming specific and viable comments and suggestions, SISI can make due contributions in building Shanghai into an international shipping center.
