At 5 pm on April 14, the summary session of the Secretariat of organizing Committee of “2010 Shanghai International Shipping Forum” was held in the conference room on the first floor of Shanghai International Shipping Center (SISI). Presided over by Division Chief Li Chenxi of Shanghai Urban Construction and Communications Commission, the session was also attended by Party Secretary Li Gang, Director Zhang Jieshu, and Director Dai Jin of SISI.
Mr. Li Gang summarized SISI’s engagement in the forum. As one of the co-organizers responsible for the organization of the forum, SISI was actively involved in the workings of the general office, financial, publicity and contact groups under the organizing Committee Secretariat. In accordance with the requirements by leaders from the Department of Water Transport under the Ministry of Transport, Shanghai Urban Construction and Communications Commission, and Shanghai Maritime University, SISI has worked with relevant parties with a lot of efforts in prophase arrangement, material preparation, and on-site participation, etc, leading to a successful completion of the task.
From March 24 to 26, 2010, the “2010 Shanghai International Shipping Forum” was successfully held in Shanghai Hyatt on the Bund Hotel. The forum was organized by the Ministry of Transport and Shanghai Municipal People’s Government, operated by Shanghai Urban Construction and Communications Commission, Hongkou District People’s Government, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and Shanghai Maritime University, and co-organized by SISI and Shanghai Shipping Exchange. The forum received good comments from the industry, with views and suggestions proposed by speakers providing an important reference for boosting the construction of Shanghai International Shipping Center.
