On the morning of October 26, led by Sun Weiguo, Secretary of Hongkou District, leaders from relevant departments of the district government visited Shanghai International Shipping Center (SISI) for survey and research.

Mr. Sun Weiguo first gave recognition to the achievements SISI has made since its settlement in the North Bund Shipping Cluster. After listening to the report by SISI Secretary-General Zhen Hong on the problems in SISI’s development and plan for the next stage, Mr. Sun put forward his expectations and suggestions on SISI’s work in next year.

According to him, in order to gather together various shipping elements, SISI shall not only work with domestic institutions but also seek cooperation with world-known shipping organizations, functioning as a window for international exchange and cooperation. In the next phase, SISI shall focus on the 12th Five-year Plan and prospective research so as to provide intellectual supports for the development of shipping in Hongkou District and the whole nation.

Other leaders also put forth sincere advice on SISI’s development.
