Jul.30--NYK's Yusen Logistics will open a 20,000 square metre cross-dock warehouse facility near Prague on the road to Slovakia and Hungary on August 1 to focus on the retail automotive sector.

??The site includes 30 loading bays, four drive-in access routes and uses RFID technology to track stock throughout the warehouse, reports the UK's Transport Intelligence. Energy efficient measures such as intelligent lighting systems and insulated dock levellers have been installed.

??"Thanks to the new location and purpose-built site, we will be able to offer customers more options for their supply chain management needs," said Yusen country manager Michal Peter, adding that the facility links to destinations throughout Central and Eastern Europe.
