Date:2012-10-22 Readers:

DHL Supply Chain says it is investing EUR100 million (US$130.9 million) to strengthen its logistics infrastructure in India, a nation whose infrastructure network lags behind its rivals.

DHL Supply Chain, a provider of contract logistics solutions, will develop eight "world class" Multi-Client Sites (MCS) across India and upgrade its current fleet with technologically advanced transportation vehicles to meet growing customer demand from various sectors.

The new MCS facilities will add a further five million square feet of warehousing space, and will be located at prime cities such as, Mumbai, Gurgaon, Delhi (NCR), Bengaluru, Nagpur, Chennai, Kolkata and Ahmedabad.
