MAERSK Line, the world's largest container shipping company, has announced that it is raising rates from North Europe to the United States, covering the east, west and Gulf coasts.

Starting from April 1 freight rates from North Europe to the US will increase US$500 per container. Eastbound rates from the US to North Europe will go up $100 per container.
