SDV, a member of the Bollore group and global supply chain management company, has announced that its participation at the Singapore Air Show, Asia's largest aerospace and defence event held from February 11 to 16, proved to be a success with the signing of a major agreement.
The accord was signed between SDV's subsidiary in China and Xiangyun Logistics, the logistics department of Shanghai Aircraft Manufacturing Co. (SAMC) and a subsidiary of COMAC.
The SDV subsidiary will provide Xiangyun Logistics with transport and logistics support.
A statement from SDV said the highlight of the event was the meeting between COMAC CFO Tian Ming and SDV chief executive officer Asia Pacific, Jerume Petit.
Mr Petit introduced our long-standing expertise in the aerospace industry supported by our worldwide network of platforms and specialists. This first meeting was very positive and both companies are looking forward to prospective cooperation, it said.
Mr Petit signed the agreement in the presence of SDV managing director of Central China, Lionel Darrieutort; aerospace manager of Central China, Warren Wang; aerospace manager, Asia Pacific, Christian Deverine; and aerospace development manager, China based in Paris, Ling Jin.
"I would like to congratulate again the whole team for its joint effort to achieve this first milestone with COMAC," said Mr Petit.
The Singapore Air Show played host to 1,000 exhibitors from 47 countries and 279 delegations from 72 countries. In all, 40,000 trade visitors from 125 countries visited the show during the first three trade days. Deals sealed during the event were worth a total of US$32 billion.
