Graduating from Shanghai Jiao Tong University & ESC Rennes School of Business with a Ph.D. degree in Business Administration, Ge Jizhong is now the chairman of Xinhai International Customs Brokerage Group Limited and the author of Seeking Survive in a Fissure. After his service in a ministry of air force aviation and transfer to civilian work, he became an officer at Shanghai Customs and director of Shanghai Pudong New Area Customs Broker Center. In 1992, he joined Shanghai Customs Broker Co., Ltd., one of the earliest professional customs brokers in China, as a top supervisor. The long military life and over 2-decade working experience in customs declaration has enabled Ge Jizhong to obtain rich theoretical and practical experiences and an in-depth understanding of policies & regulations and business operation model of China Customs as well as the management of modern customs declaration enterprises. Under his leadership, Xinhai International Customs Brokerage Group Limited has established a professional and highly efficient operation system and a learning management team, realizing remarkable business development. Its import and export customs declaration has always been positioned high on the comprehensive ranking list among Shanghai’s ports.
