Zhang Ye, secretary of Party committee and president of Shanghai Shipping Exchange (SSE) and representative of the 12th, 13th and 14th Shanghai Municipal People's Congress. Zhang graduated from Wuhan Institute of Water Transportation Engineering (Wuhan University of Technology now), got his MBA from Shanghai Jiao Tong University and a PhD from Shanghai Maritime University. Before he became president of SSE, Zhang has been vice president of Shanghai Changjiang Shipping Corp and in many other leading positions, accumulating rich experiences in transportation operation and management for domestic and foreign trade, container fleet operation and management, shipbuilding technology supervision and administration, and management of shipping service enterprises. At present, Zhang is mainly engaged in shipping finance, transaction and information.
