Xu Ping, deputy chief engineer and research fellow of China Academy of Transportation Sciences of MOT. She has a master’s degree in Engineering from Zhejiang University and has participated in logistics training in Holland and training of transportation and logistics planning in Germany. Engaged in researches on transportation development strategy and policy, informatization planning, transportation and logistics, Xu has presided over and participated in more than ten provincial and ministerial-level research topics including Strategic Study of China’s Shipping Development and Research on Establishment of Regulatory System for Shipping Market, as well as a number of technical consulting projects including Principle and Methodology Study of COSCO Container Line Optimization and 10th Five-year Plan for Water Transport Informatization of Shandong Province. Xu was honored as Excellent Female in Scientific and Technological Work of central government bodies and Female Role Model of MOT-affiliated bodies, and has won two third prizes for science and technology progress and one second prize for excellent shipping engineering consulting conferred by MOT.
