Zhao Jinsong, professor of admiralty law and doctoral supervisor at the KoGuan Law School of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, deputy director of the Center for Oceans Law and Policy, and head of the Ocean and Shipping Institute of Chinese Underwater Technology Institute. He got his bachelor’s and master’s degree from Dalian Maritime University and PhD from University of Southampton in Britain. Zhao is a research fellow at China Ocean Development Research Center, visiting fellow at Admiralty Law Research Center of Peking University Law School, visiting professor at Admiralty Law Research Center of University of Queensland in Australia, an arbitrator of China Maritime Arbitration Commission and Shanghai Arbitration Court of International Shipping, editorial board member of the British magazine International Maritime and Admiralty Law, associate editor-in-chief of China Oceans Law Review, and legal counsel of China Classification Society.
