Xu Kai, chief of SISI Shipping Informatization Research Department, engineer of Shanghai Maritime University, master of computer software and theory, and currently studying for a PhD in logistics management and engineering. Mainly engaged in scientific research on port and shipping informatization, the Internet of Things, artificial intelligence algorithm and logistics management, Xu has participated in a slew of port and shipping information system R&D projects, including China shipping database, China shipping i-news, ship monitoring project of Command Center of Zhoushan Port Authority, development of seaman management system for inland river of Yunnan Maritime Safety Administration, remote monitoring system of Zhongshan Station in the Antarctica, black box for container monitoring, and the questionnaire survey system of China Shipping Prosperity Index. Xu has also led the development of www.chinashippinginfo.net and SISI’s website, co-applied for six software copyrights, and published four academic papers as first author and another more than ten papers as a participant. Xu once won the Sanqiang Cup Innovation and Invention Award for Shanghai college students.
