Cosco to close most US offices in consolidation and restructuring
Date:2014-07-11 Readers:

Cosco Container Lines Americas Inc (CCLA) will close most of its offices in the US and consolidate them into a larger North America Operation Center as part of a restructuring move.

CCLA announced that the offices of Boston, Charleston, Chicago, Henderson, New York, Norfolk, San Francisco, and Seattle will be closed and all functions transferred to the new operation centre, the location of which has to be selected and then announced.

At the same time, most of the customer service and operation functions performed by CCLA headquarters in Secaucus, New Jersey will also be transferred to the new operation center.

“CCLA believe that the restructuring will improve overall performance and efficiency of the company and the company will also be able to provide superior and value-added service to its customers,” CCLA said in a statement.

CCLA added that its US customers will “receive uninterrupted service” during the restructuring, which is expected to be completed by this year.

CCLA is the North American unit of Shanghai-headquartered Cosco Container Lines (Coscon).
