MOL Logistics (Japan) has started operation of a new warehouse in Yuen Long, in the western part of the New Territories. The facility is MOL Logistics' third warehouse in Hong Kong. The other two are in Shatin and Tsuen Wan.
The company also has a warehouse in the Futian Free Trade Zone in Shenzhen.
In a departure from mainstream warehouse buildings in Hong Kong, MOL Logistics' new facility in Yuen Long is a shed-type warehouse, which directly links the truck loading dock and the product storage area. The entire series of operations - arrival of products, storage, sorting, processing, packaging and shipment can be completed with greater efficiency.
The new warehouse allows for high-quality logistics services, which further enhances the speed of Container Freight Station (CFS) operations, buyer consolidation, cross-dock operation, and so on, in addition to normal warehousing operations.
The company has already started inventory stocking and control, distributive processing, domestic delivery, and import/export operations for customers in the automotive and photocopier sectors.
The MOL Logistics Group works continually to improve the quality of its services and meet diversifying customer logistics needs. It offers a full line-up of logistics services including air and ocean freight forwarding. The group draws upon its highly specialised contract logistics know-how to propose and deliver optimal solutions.
