New rotation of CMA CGM joint service between North East Asia, Australia and New Zealand unveiled
Date:2014-09-24 Readers:

CMA CGM S.A. (CMA CGM) is pleased to announce the rotation of its new service in co-operation with China Shipping Container Lines (CSCL), Orient Overseas Container Lines (OOCL) and Pacific International Lines (PIL), in the North East Asia, Australia and New Zealand Trade, commencing from Shanghai in early November 2014.

The new service will be operated with 7 vessels of 4,250 TEU nominal capacities, of which three (3) vessels will be provided by CMA CGM, two (2) vessels by OOCL and one (1) vessel each by CSCL and PIL, while ANL will remain slot charterer. It will be replacing the current “ANZEX” / “NZN” service operated by CMA CGM & OOCL.

“The reshaped rotation in Asia will not only focus on Central and North East Asia, but will also improve our offer from South East Asia on the southbound leg. While we are adding a call in Australia, contributing to a healthy growth for CMA CGM on the Asia-Australia trade, we will retake the five ports in the New Zealand that have been covered by the current ANZEX so far, reaffirming our willingness and commitment to provide a wide and serious offer to our valuable shippers with a fast and direct service between New Zealand and the Far East”, says Xavier Eiglier, CMA CGM Vice President Antilles-Guyane and Indian Ocean, Oceania Lines.

The Lines aims to provide their customers with direct, reliable and competitive service to both southbound and northbound legs through this cooperation.

CMA CGM will keep offering Fiji and Nouméa with a different set-up which will be released by the end of the month, once final arrangements are made.
