The delegation led by Jerome Lapree, Deputy Ocean Category Manager from IKEA, came to visit Shanghai International Shipping Institute (SISI) On October 9, 2014. Zhen Hong, Secretary General of SISI warmly received the visitors.

During the meeting, IKEA first introduced their logistics competitive edge, briefed their strategies in China and shared their insights on issues such as the development of shipping market and future trends of logistics in Europe. 

Zhang Yongfeng, Deputy Director of International Shipping Research Department SISI, then shared his observations on the recent international container shipping market. Zhou Dequan, Deputy Director from Domestic Shipping Research Department of SISI presented the SISI product -China Shipping Prosperity Index (CSPI) to the guests and analyzed the recent development of China coastal shipping market.

The two sides exchanged views on container shipping development along the Yangtze River and the outlook on logistics informatization as well.

Further cooperation was also discussed at the meeting.
