By analyzing Anqing’s advantages for economic development, the status quo of its comprehensive transportation system and the current development of Anqing port, this study presents the strategic significance and choice of Anqing “developing the city with port”, and puts forth suggestions and guarantee measures regarding the medium and long-term plan, positioning, approach, goals and key areas for Anqing port’s development.
