By expounding the background and significance of founding the Wuhan Shipping Exchange, this study analyzes the urgency of founding it, and sorts out the economic and trade environment, the development of port industry, shipping industry and shipping service industry in Hubei province and Wuhan. It also analyzes the specific ship transactions, cargo transaction, chartering, shipping information, shipping talent training and exchange and shipping finance and insurance, and works out the future development plan.
