Danish shipping giant Maersk Line will increase its Far East transpacific eastbound rate to the United States and Canada on all cargo from February 14 in response to the congestion on the US west coast.

The general rate increase will be US$720 per TEU and $800 per FEU, $900 FEU per high cube, $900 per FEU high cube reefer and $1,010 per 45-footer.

The Far East Asia includes Brunei, Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, Laos, Macau, Malaysia, Mongolia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Timor Leste, Vietnam, Fish Port Terminal, RU, Kholmsk, RU, Korsakov, RU, Magadan, RU, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, RU, Vanino, RU, Vladivostok, RU and Vostochniy Port, RU) to the United States, Canada and US Virgin Islands.
