Japan's biggest shipping company, MOL, has announced it will implement a general rate restoration for all types of cargo moving from Asia to the east coast of South America, starting March 18.

From Asia, including the Indian subcontinent, to the east coast of South America the increase will be US$750 per TEU and $1,500 per FEU.

The rate increase per 40-foot RAD container will be US$1,000, a company statement said.
