Xiaomi names CEVA to run Malaysian e-commerce distribution
Date:2015-03-12 Readers:

Dutch global supply chain giant CEVA Logistics has won a new contract with Xiaomi, the world's third largest smartphone manufacturer, to operate its warehouse and distribution in Malaysia. Xiaomi's business strategy of selling products directly to consumers via its online site, Mi.com , requires a strong supply chain management provider that understands e-commerce distribution.

Under the terms of this contract, CEVA will manage the 1,500-square metre e-commerce distribution centre, which holds Xiaomi's handsets and accessories.

CEVA's services include receiving, checking, storage, orders, picking and packing as well as orchestrating shipping and administration Malaysia-wide.

Said Xiaomi vice president Hugo Barra: "Making sure Mi fans are able to purchase and receive products on time is of utmost importance. We are confident that CEVA, through its warehouse and logistics solutions, will help Xiaomi continue to provide an excellent online buying experience in Malaysia."

Said CEVA vice president Elaine Low: "We are delighted to support Xiaomi. With the explosive growth of e-commerce, CEVA has been working closely with customers to provide a flexible and optimised supply chain."
