Japanse shipping giant MOL has increased rates on dry and reefer cargo from Malaysia to Mexico and the west coast of South America US$700 per TEU from May 1.

A statement from the company said the rate hike on this route will be $1,400 per FEU, and $1,400 per 40-foot high cube container.
