Third party unit-load device (ULD) management firm and subsidiary of Lufthansa Cargo, Jettainer has opened a new 17,000-square metre facility at Frankfurt that can handle 750,000 ULDs a year, or 9,000 containers and pallets at a time.

The facility guarantees immediate availability to ULDs, maintenance and repair services at Germany's largest air freight hub, reported American Shipper.

The company manages a fleet of 90,000 ULDs for 16 airlines.
