Four MBA researchers from Erasmus University came to SISI to perform field research on sustainable innovations in the harbor of Shanghai. This field research aims to explore the critical success and failure factors for establishing and operating a sustainable and innovative port. Mr. Xie Wenqing, Ms. Sun Wei from SISI’s Port Development Research Department talked about the practices of port of Shanghai in developing itself as a sustainable harbor while scholars from Erasmus introduced advanced experience of Rotterdam, No.1 port in Europe. Both sides also exchanged views on application prospect of LNG as a ship fuel and technology of automated terminals.
