ACI European Dredging Summit to be held October 7-8 in Antwerp

The ACI European Dredging Summit will be held October 7-8 in Antwerp and hear John Greenhalgh, director Greenhalgh Associates a chairman of FIDIC Dredging and Reclamation Contract Update Task Group to examine "Project Financing & Budget Management".


He will focus on the use of FIDIC [Federation Internationale des Ingenieurs Conseils] contracts and procedures sets a clear and well known contracting basis that gives greater certainty to project financing and budget control.


He will provide an explanation of how the use of FIDIC contracts is beneficial to project financing and budget control.


Other conference speakers will include Paris Sansoglou, secretary general, European Dredging Association; Hopeton Delisser, vice president of Harbours & Port Services, Port Authority of Jamaica; Bill Murchison, business development, Great Lakes Dredge & Dock Company; Khalid Bichou, managing director, K Bichou & Associates Ltd and Edward De Broe, chief engineer, Dredging Department, Antwerp Port Authority.


There will be a visit to APEC-Antwerp/Flanders Port Training Centre, DEME headquarters and Antwerp City Hall on October 6.
