Envirotainer has opened a new service station in Shanghai, China to support growing cold chain business to the pharma supply chain, bringing the total number of its service stations worldwide to 54.

With the new service station, the company says it has more capacity to release its RKN e1 containers to the Chinese and Asian markets to make it more efficient for pharmaceutical companies to ship their temperature-sensitive products faster to their final destination.

CEO Simon Angeldorff said in a company statement: "For Envirotainer, this is a massive expansion to the market and we are bringing the best-in-class solutions for the customers in the region. This means that we can ensure availability of our containers and secure shipments so that the medicines can arrive safely to the patient."
