UASC launches weekly service spanning west Med to India via Persian Gulf

The United Arab Shipping Company (UASC) has launched a weekly service connecting the Indian subcontinent with the Persian Gulf, the Red Sea and the Western Mediterranean, reports Rome's ANSAmed.


The new route is called the Indian Subcontinent Mediterranean Express Service (IMEX) and replaces the Middle East-India-US East Coast and terminate in Genoa and La Spezia.


The route begins in Oman's Khor Fakkan port and calls at Jebel Ali, Port Qasim, Mundra, Mumbai-Nhava Sheva, Jeddah, Port Said East, La Spezia, Genoa, Fos Sur Mer, Barcelona, Valencia, Tanger, Genoa, Malta, Port Said West, Jeddah and back to Khor Fakkan.
