GLS and DB Schenker begin parcel partnership in Germany
Date:2016-03-29 Readers:

Germany's DB Schenker and the Amsterdam's General Logistics Systems (GLS) have launched a new partnership, targeting both business to customer (B2C) e-commerce and business to business (B2B) by now offering parcel delivery in four countries since they already collaborate in Denmark, Sweden and Austria.

GLS will now deliver parcels in Germany for the logistics affiliate of Deutsche Bahn and will handle international consignments. In return, DB Schenker will also transport part loads (pallets) for GLS customers in the future.

"Our goal is for DB Schenker to offer Europe-wide parcel logistics through GLS," said Schenker's European land transport chief Ewald Kaiser."We want to set up parcel services under our own brand to complete our product range in land transport," he said.
