CMA CGM re-jigs its services North Europe to Middle East and Asia

French shipping giant CMA CGM has announced changes to services connecting northern Europe with Asia to be implements later this month.


There will be a new rotation on FAL 1. Starting in Hamburg on May 26 with the 16,020-TEU CMA CGM Vasco de Gama voyage 087 FLE, FAL 1. This will involved at a new call at Jebel Ali on its rotation, which is now becoming the only service to offer connections with Middle East Gulf ports.


The new rotation will be Southampton, Dunkerque, Hamburg, Rotterdam, Zeebrugge, Le Havre, Malta, Khor Fakkan, Jebel Ali, Shanghai, Tianjin Xingang, Dalian, Busan, Qingdao, Shanghai, Ningbo, Shenzhen-Yantian, Port Kelang, Algeciras and back to Southampton.


There will be a new rotation on FAL 23. Starting in Hamburg on May 25, the 15,000-TEU Salahuddin voyage 056FFE, FAL 23 will add a new call at Hong Kong and sail directly via the Cape of Good Hope on its way back to Asia.


It will rotate through Antwerp, Hamburg, Felixstowe, Rotterdam, Le Havre, Port Kelang, Shenzhen-Chiwan, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Ningbo, Shenzhen-Yantian, Vung Tau, Port Kelang, Le Havre, Rotterdam and back to Antwerp.


Starting in Rotterdam on June 8, with the 14,000-TEU APL Sentosa voyage 002PFE, FAL 7 will offer a service between China and North Europe, including calls at Gdansk and Gothenburg.


It will have the following rotation: Qingdao, Shanghai, Ningbo, Hong Kong, Shenzhen-Yantian, Singapore, Rotterdam, Hamburg, Gdansk, Gothenburg, Antwerp, Southampton, Singapore, Shenzhen-Yantian and back to Qingdao.


There will be a new rotation on EPIC, which will stop calling at Beirut and Port Said and add a new eastbound call at Jeddah. Last voyage with the old rotation pattern will be performed by 8,488-TEU CMA CGM Tosca voyage 093EPE, in Southampton on May 14.


New rotation will start in Southampton on May 21 with then 15,000-TEU UASC Al Khor voyage 095EPE, thence to Rotterdam, Hamburg, Antwerp, Dunkerque, Le Havre, Jeddah, Djibouti, Khor Fakkan, Jebel Ali, Port Qasim, Nhava Sheva, Mundra, Jeddah, Malta, Tanger and back to Southampton
