The founding ceremony for the second phase of the Northwest Modern Medical Logistics Center, owned by Shaanxi Pharmaceutical Holdings Group Pai’ang Co, took place on Aug 18 at Xi’an International Trade and Logistics Park.

Jiang Feng, vice-governor of Shaanxi province, and Han Song, secretary of the park’s Party working committee attended the ceremony.

The logistics center is one of the major projects planned by Shaanxi Pharmaceutical Group during the 13th Five-Year Plan period (2016–2020).

Once completed, the center will not only facilitate storage, transportation, distribution and delivery for Shaanxi’s pharmaceutical companies, but also increase the efficiency of medicine distribution and guarantee the security of medical products.

With a total investment worth 342 million yuan ($51 million), and floor space of 588,000 square meters, the center is expected to be one of the largest and most comprehensive medical centers in China.
