Following its takeover by CMA CGM Singapore-headquartered APL is continuing to expand its Asia – Europe services.

In its second new Asia – Europe service announcement since the takeover was completed APL is launching a new weekly India Pakistan Europe (IPE) service.

The service will start eastbound from Southampton on 1 October and westbound from the port of Qasim on 4 October.

“Europe is a premier trading partner and a major export market of South Asian countries. It is opportune that we expand our service coverage in Asia-Europe through the new IPE service, directly linking the major economies of India and Pakistan to Europe. As APL offers market connectivity, our priorities are also to provide reliable and timely cargo shipments across all regions,” said Eric Eng, APL head of Asia Europe Trade.

The service will call at the ports of Port Qasim, Nhava Sheva, Hazira, Mundra, Jeddah, Djibouti, Southampton, Rotterdam, Antwerp, Felixstowe and Le Havre.

It is the second new Asia – Europe service announcement by APL since its takeover by CMA CGM with it launching the Felixstowe Express Service (FEX) on 20 August linking ports in China and Malaysia with Felixstowe in the UK.
