An auto parts trading company became the first enterprise in Yangshan Port to receive a CCC honest enterprise certificate from the Shanghai Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau and the Shanghai Commerce Commission.

Yangshan Port Free Trade Area, a part of Shanghai Pilot Free Trade Zone, has nine companies awarded the CCC certificate.

With the certificate, Mopar (SHANGHAI) Auto Parts Trading Co Ltd, a subsidiary of Fiat Chrysler Group, will be exempted of China Compulsory Certification (CCC) for three years by the customs. This will save the company 1.25 million yuan (US$181,159) in import costs and cut clearance time from nine days to only three days.

Other companies awarded the certificate include BMW, General Motors, Ford and Toyota's logistics companies. Volvo is also applying for the certificate.
