Weng Zuliang: Bold steps needed in FTZ reforms
Date:2017-04-27 Readers:

Weng Zuliang, Party secretary of Pudong New Area and director of the Shanghai Free Trade Zone Administration, urged officials to take the initiative, pay attention to coordination, and realize reform targets set for the FTZ. He was speaking in a meeting on Monday.

“We should build a high-level free trade zone marked by international practices, administrative transparency, and high business efficiency, as required by President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Keqiang,” Weng said.

“We should take the initiative and bold steps to carry out reforms and coordinate well with the central government and municipal government departments in the city’s development into an international financial center and a global innovation center,” he said.

“We must take concrete actions and perform every task seriously to reach the set targets on schedule,” Weng added.
