China's first shipping-oriented Internet service hub opened in Lujiazui Financial District on June 22. It will double as an incubator for startups in shipping information, shipping technology and e-commerce services, officials said.

The hub will help companies obtain funding from financial institutions in Lujiazui and pool resources to develop their businesses.

Universities, consulting companies, accounting and law firms will be invited to hold lectures, seminars and other activities to help Internet companies better serve the shipping industry.
