Zhangjiagang, a beautiful port city in
East China's Jiangsu province, hosted a tourism recommendation
conference in Shanghai on March 3.
Jointly organized by the Zhangjiagang
tourism bureau and Tongcheng Tourism Group, the event sought to promote
the port city’s tourism resources to industry professionals from across
the world.
Zhangjiagang placed its countryside
tourism, historical culture, and special delicacies into front and
center position at the conference.
The city aims to develop high-quality
ecological tourism resources and cultural resources by creating
distinctive theme travel routes for spring flowers, tourism products,
the ancient historical town and local food.
The city of Zhangjiagang has done
particularly well in promoting its splendid attractions. It has captured
the spirit of the festival by hosting events across the seasons to
promote its image and attract more tourists.
The food festival in April features
local river fish, the lavender festival in July boasts an opportunity to
camp in a vast purple flower sea, the chrysanthemum festival in October
offers mouth-watering crab dishes, and the Yangtze River Culture and
Arts Festival in November brings the year to an artistic close.
