Yantai, a port city in East China's Shandong province, held a seminar to promote marine industry-university-research cooperation on March 24.

A total of 120 people attended the seminar and discussed how to make good use of resources to develop the marine economy.

Twelve marine experts also brainstormed on strategies to ramp up support for the marine economy and to improve cooperative scientific and technological research on marine industries and resources.

The seminar will promote industry-university-research cooperation on multiple levels including urban management, industrial park construction, financial investment, commercial logistics, culture and education.
