CIFA, WCA Family hold forwarder conference in Kenya December 5
Date:2010-11-05 Readers:

THE China International Forwarders Association (CIFA) and WCA Family of Logistic Networks (WCAF) will hold their first African Regional Forwarders Conference from December 5-7 in Nairobi.
CIFA plans to bring 50 top independent Chinese forwarding companies to Nairobi, and delegates from 25 countries in Europe, Asia, the Americas and the Indian sub-continent have already signed up to attend the event that "promises to be a watershed event, both for the African forwarders attending and the international participants from all over the globe," said a statement from WCAF.
This follows the opening of a WCAF regional office in Africa. "WCA Family and CIFA will rely on the regional associations in the different countries within Africa to assist their own members to strengthen their place within the logistic industry and identify key, professional, independent forwarders that are able to standout as local logistics experts," a company statement said.
"This first-ever conference will of course feature the one-on-one format, ensuring that top forwarders from the international forwarding community will get to meet face-to-face with their African counterparts and start core relationships that are so critical to success."
Endorsements for the conference have been obtained from the Ghana Institute of Freight Forwarders, Council for the Regulation of Freight Forwarders in Nigeria, Kenya International Freight and Warehousing Association, and the Egyptian International Freight Forwarding Association.
