Nanyang Customs formally implemented an integration declaration system for foreign trade cargo on Aug 1, meaning imports and exports now only require one declaration and one clearance.

The new clearance system integrates the original documents into a set of attached documents and a set of parameter codes, which include unified common item codes of eight original customs declaration and inspection items, including the country (region), port, currency system, etc.

Zhao Rui, the customs manager of Xixia Panrun Food, who has been responsible for the daily import and export declaration process for many years, said that the new system is much more convenient and efficient than the old one.

An official of Nanyang Customs said that the new system can reduce the time and cost of declaration, while also enriching customs data resources and increasing customs service capacity.
