Hong Kong International Airport honours WFS as 'best company' in 2018

FRENCH global ground handling giant Worldwide Flight Services (WFS) has been named the 'Best Company for Customer Focus' in Hong Kong International Airport's (HKIA) 20th Anniversary Awards that honour outstanding individuals, teams and companies.

In addition, HKIA honoured 67 members of the WFS team working at the airport in its annual Customer Service Excellence Programme (CSEP).

The WFS award recipients provide ancillary passenger services operations and baggage handling and all received Certificates of Appreciation.

Officiating at the ceremony was Frank Chan, Secretary for Transport and Housing, and Fred Lam, Chief Executive Officer of Airport Authority Hong Kong (AA).

About 1,000 of the airport's 73,000 employees were awarded this year for customer service excellence and providing a pleasant airport experience for passengers.

Said Mr Chan: "In the past 20 years, HKIA has been recognised as the 'best airport' over 70 times by the aviation industry. I would like thank all the airport staff for their contributions in the past 20 years."

Said WFS regional chief James Carey: "We are extremely proud that our company and employees. WFS plays an important role, from aircraft fueling and ramp operations to passenger services and terminal operations, we fully understand the high standards every customer expects."
