Zhangjiagang to boost homestay business
Date:2018-09-11 Readers:

Zhangjiagang, a port city in East China's Jiangsu province, aims to support local homestay development to help boost rural tourism, according to a conference held at Nanfeng town on Sept 11.

Zhangjiagang has 17 kinds of homestay accommodations with eight facilities currently operating. The larger ones are the Yonglian Fishing Center, Golden Wheat Homestay and Yongxing Ecological Park. Nine homestay projects are under construction including the Xiaojiaxiang homestay project in Fenghuang town.

Here are some homestays in operation:

1. Yonglian Fishing Center

Homestays in Yonglian Fishing Center in Yongliantown feature huts alongside the river. Over 30 log cabins are offered with different suites. Living by the river is a good way to escape the hustle and bustle of the city; the cabins even come with rocking chairs for rest.

2. Golden Wheat Park The Golden Wheat Park in Tangshi town integrates ecological planting, agricultural product processing, catering, produce picking and homestay services. The park’s homestays are of various styles such as Japanese, countryside and classic to meet guest needs.

3. Yanong Ecological Park

The Yanong Ecological Park in Tangqiao town is a three-star rural tourism area in Jiangsu province where homestay facilities cover 600 square meters.

4. Fanshe Homestay

Fanshe in Jinfeng town, with an area of 600 square meters, opened to public this May. The homestay was restored from an abandoned old house which now sports a small garden with a variety of plants, ponds and wells.
