DHL has announced that its Supply Chain Asia Pacific business unit has received the Asia Pacific 3PL Excellence Award for the second time, at the annual SCM Logistics Excellence Awards.
    The winning of this award in both 2008 and this year reflects DHL's success in raising service standards, maximising lead times for customers and advancing product innovation while keeping costs low, it said in a statement.
    "Strategic solutions are increasingly critical for organisations to gain market share over others. My congratulations to DHL Supply Chain Asia Pacific for showing how it adapts well to changing market conditions, even during the recent global economy meltdown," said Richard Owens, chief executive officer, DHL Global Customer Solutions, Asia Pacific.
    The SCM Logistics Excellence Awards is in its sixth year and is a feature of the SCM Logistics World conference.
