HONG KONG's OOCL has announced its third phase product refinements of the Ocean Alliance network with a raft of new services and mainline port calls, reports Dubai's Logistics Middle East.

"As the Ocean Alliance enters its third year in the market, OOCL has been working with partners to ensure that it continues to bring the best that it can offer customers," said a company statement.

"To that end, we are delighted to announce further refinements to the Ocean Alliance product mix this year," it said.

"The third phase been developed to improve our overall competitive position while meeting the evolving needs of the global supply chain in today's increasingly volatile market environment," said the statement.

Connection to the Middle East markets have been strengthened by these permanent port calls to the region's largest container shipping hub.

The service rotates through Busan, Ningbo, Shanghai, Shenzhen-Yantian, Singapore, Algeciras, Southampton, Dunkirk, Hamburg, Rotterdam, Southampton, Le Havre, Malta, Jebel Ali, Port Kelang, Xiamen and back to Busan.
